(Yes, I'm Talking to You)
Hi. It’s me, the therapist you keep thinking about calling.
I already know you’re strong; you’ve survived everything life has thrown at you so far. I also know you’re tired of doing it alone.
You don’t have to wait for a crisis. You don’t have to “get worse” before you “deserve” help. You are allowed to want more than just coping.
Here’s what actually happens when you finally book that first appointment:
Session 1: You’ll probably cry or feel awkward. That’s normal.
Session 2–3: You’ll realize someone can hear your whole story and not leave.
Session 4–6: You’ll start catching yourself using new tools in real life and thinking, “Wait… that worked.” A few months in: You’ll wake up one day and notice the dread is quieter, the laughter is louder, and you feel like the main character in your own life again.
I’m not here to fix you (you’re not broken). I’m here to help you remember who you were before the world taught you to shrink, perform, or get numb.
We can go as slow or as deep as you need. We can laugh, cry, sit in silence, or swear when necessary. There is no topic off-limits and no feeling too big for this room.
You do not have to have the perfect words. You only have to show up with whatever you have that day.
I have two open chairs every week that are waiting for someone exactly like you: someone brave enough to stop abandoning themselves.
One of them has your name on it the moment you decide you’re ready.
Fill out the form. Send the email. I’ll be here when you do.
You deserve this kind of care. You always did.
With warmth and the quiet confidence of someone who has watched this work a thousand times,
Wendy Stone, RN, PsyD Doctoral-trained Psychotherapist and International CE Educator
P.S. If you’re still scared, that’s okay. Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s sending the message anyway. I’ll answer.
